Theodore P. Janulis
Theodore P. (Ted) Janulis currently serves as Senior Advisor to Constellation Research & Technology. Ted has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry in a variety of leadership positions. He was the Chief Executive Officer of CRT Capital LLC, an independent institutional broker-dealer based in Stamford, Connecticut and New York City, and prior to that served as the Chief Executive Officer of Aurora Bank, FSB. Before Aurora, Ted spent over 20 years at Lehman Brothers in several senior management roles including Global Head of Mortgage Capital, Global Head of the Investment Managment Division, which included Neuberger Berman, and Global Co-Head of Fixed Income. He also served on the firm’s Executive Committee. He currently serves on the Board of New Media Investment Group Inc, and also on the Advisory Board of Roc Capital, an institutional lending and servicing company in New York City.
Ted has extensive civic and non-profit experience, having served on the Boards of the Ronald McDonald House of New York City; the International Center of Photography; the Film Society of Lincoln Center; The Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Sanctuary; and Zawadi By Youth. He has also been a member of the Advisory Council of the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation at the American Museum of Natural History. Ted recently served three years as President of The Explorers Club in New York City, where he continues to serve on the Board. He also serves on the Board of Visitors of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.
Ted earned his MBA from Columbia University Graduate Business School and A.B. from Harvard College. He was the 1981 recipient of the Rolex/Our World-Underwater Scholarship, which provided him the opportunity to work for a year with leading ocean explorers, scientists and filmmakers.
